Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
Recently, the 2026 National Intellectual Property Publicity Week Greater Bay Area Sub-venue Event launch and theme day activities were held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The event was themed "Connecting the World with Canton Fair, Advancing Together with IP."
At the event, a documentary-style situational performance titled "The 'Secure' Orders at the Canton Fair" vividly demonstrated the real-life scene of IP departments in the Greater Bay Area operating within the exhibition venue under the "1+2+N" IP protection work system. Relevant departments adopted mechanisms such as "exhibit proof" and rapid comparison to provide solid support for a full-chain closed-loop protection system. Efficient and rapid dispute resolution allowed foreign businesses to confidently bring in technology and Chinese enterprises to confidently showcase their patents, thereby facilitating cross-border cooperation.
IP departments from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region reviewed their cooperation with Guangdong in IP creation, utilization, protection, and services via video. At the event, it was announced that the WIPO GREEN City Acceleration project would be established in Guangzhou.
Using the "Greater Bay Rooster," the mascot of the 15th National Games, as an example, the event shared how the Greater Bay Area adheres to the strictest protection, full-chain management, and cross-regional collaboration, turning the Games into a super benchmark that created over 860 million yuan in value and elevated event derivatives into a cultural symbol of the Greater Bay Area. Three renowned athletes also sent video messages, calling on society to cheer for innovation in the Greater Bay Area.
